Welcome to a little map
The research lab a little map, is functional since 2018 and was initiated by Stathis G. Arapostathis, Geographer, PhD graduate with many year published scientific research and professional experience, and currently Educator in the public Secondary Education. The lab is working on research proposals, either European or crowdfunding, publishes research and scientific material. Also publishes maps and delivers scientific and cartographic data in research entities and scientists. Finally works in various projects with 3rd party countries.
Background
The first project in the small history of the lab was from the Russian Embassy in Greece in 2018. This was for a mapping application created to honor the Russian victims of the Second World War, burried in the Greek area. During that period a little map didn’t have a title. The application remained online for some time. It was eventually retired from the embassy’s webpage, when the Russian-Ukranian war started. Still not sure if the war was the reason. Noone contacted. In any case a little map always supports peace.
That small mapping project was the beginning of the a little map’s journey. The lab has been operating since then through small scale international collaborations and collaborations with public entities of Greece, mailnly as physical person.
- In 2020, the title “a little map” was officially registered through the related services of the Athens Chamber of Commerce, aspiring to consolidate the title.
- In 2023 it was adjusted for being compliant with the Greek legislation due to the educator role of the owner.
- In 2026 the lab got it's own-separate tax-address.
